Your client should arrive, find parking, walk in without passing a reception desk, and sit somewhere calm. That is most of the job done before you say a word. Our rooms are set up so that happens every time, whether you see one client a week or run a full clinic.
They are the same rooms our own psychologists work from, so they are furnished for real clinical use rather than let out as bare offices. Book the hours you need, when you need them.

Create an account, sign the room rental agreement and upload your indemnity certificate. We check it and approve you, usually the same day.

Pick your room and time
Use the booking calendar to take the slot you want. One-off, weekly, or full days, and you can change it yourself up to 24 hours before.

Turn up and work
Pay by card or bank transfer. Collect the door code, and the room is yours for the time you booked.

How much does it cost to hire a therapy room in Glasgow?
Our therapy rooms in Newton Mearns, Glasgow (G77) start at £12 per hour. A half day is £40 and a full day is £60, both billed at a flat rate. Pricing is the same across all five rooms, with no membership fee and no minimum commitment.
What is included in the room hire fee?
Every booking includes a fully furnished room, Wi-Fi, heating, comfortable seating, free tea and coffee, a private waiting area for your clients, a discreet entrance, free on-site parking, and access to the on-site cafe and toilets. Whiteboards are available on request, and renters can also choose to be listed for free on glasgowtherapists.com.
Where are the therapy rooms located?
The rooms are based within Mearns Castle Golf Academy on Waterfoot Road, Newton Mearns, Glasgow G77 5RR. The location sits in East Renfrewshire, just off the M77 and easily reached from Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Giffnock, Eaglesham, Busby, and the south side of Glasgow city centre.
Is there parking on site?
Yes. There is a large free car park on site for both you and your clients, with no time restrictions during your booking. The main entrance to the therapy rooms is a short, level walk from the car park.
Who can hire the rooms?
Our rooms are used by clinical and counselling psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, CBT and EMDR therapists, couples and family therapists, clinical supervisors, coaches, and wellbeing practitioners. You will need to hold professional indemnity insurance and, where your profession has one, registration with your regulator or professional body.
Can I book evenings and weekends?
Yes. Rooms can be booked from 8am to 9pm, seven days a week, subject to availability. Many of our renters work evenings or weekends to fit around clients in employment.
How do I book a therapy room?
Register a free account at rooms.illuminated.pro, sign the Room Rental Agreement, and upload your professional indemnity certificate where required. You can then book any available room and time slot yourself, and pay by card or bank transfer.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 24-hour cancellation policy applies. Bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before the start time are refunded in full. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged at the full rate to protect the slot for other renters.
Do you offer regular bookings as well as one-off hire?
Yes. You can book one-off sessions, recurring weekly slots, or full days, all through the same booking system. There is no minimum commitment, and you can use the rooms as much or as little as your practice needs.
Are the rooms suitable for couples therapy or clinical supervision?
Yes. Poplar is arranged for couples and collaborative work, and Beech is set up for supervision, reflective practice, and professional meetings. The other rooms can also accommodate two-person work if your preferred slot is taken.
