Psychological assessments in Glasgow

ADHD, autism, neuropsychological and medico-legal assessments in Glasgow and online, carried out by HCPC-registered psychologists. Each one ends with a written report you can use with the NHS, an employer, a university or a solicitor.

How we assess

Our assessments go beyond diagnostic labels. We provide a thorough, formulation-led understanding of your difficulties, strengths, and needs, with clear, practical recommendations to support you going forward. You can check any of our psychologists on the HCPC register.

ADHD and autism assessments follow NICE guidance. Our reports are accepted by the NHS, employers, universities, and legal bodies.

Adult ADHD assessment

For adults who suspect they have ADHD, including those who coped well at school or work. One or two sessions using the DIVA interview and a full developmental history, then a written report and feedback session. £900.

Autism assessment

For adults who suspect they are autistic, including masked presentations. Several appointments using the MIGDAS-2 and ACIA, then a written report with recommendations for daily life, work and study. £1,300.

Combined ADHD and autism

For anyone weighing up ADHD, autism or both. One process, one report, and less cost than two separate assessments. £1,850.

Neuropsychological assessment

For cognitive change after brain injury, stroke or a neurological condition, or worries about memory. Testing in person over one or two sessions with Dr Andrew Wood, Dr Adele Mackintosh, Dr Claire McGuire or Dr Aisha Tariq, then a written report. Fee quoted on enquiry.

Medico-legal reports

For solicitors, insurers and individuals who need an independent psychological opinion. Reports for personal injury, medical negligence, occupational, capacity and family court matters, with court attendance where required. Fee quoted per instruction, so contact us with details of the case.

Questions people ask about assessments

How long does a psychological assessment take?

It depends on the assessment. ADHD is around 2 to 3 hours of interview plus questionnaires, autism is several appointments over two to four weeks, and neuropsychological testing is 3 to 6 hours. We explain the full timeline when you first get in touch.

Will I receive a written report after my assessment?

Yes. All assessments include a comprehensive written report detailing findings, diagnostic conclusions, and tailored recommendations. Reports are typically provided within three to four weeks of completing the assessment. For medico-legal assessments, reports follow the standards required by the instructing party.

Can I use my assessment report with the NHS or my employer?

Yes. Our assessment reports are produced by HCPC-registered psychologists and are widely accepted by the NHS, employers, educational institutions, and legal bodies. If you need a report for a specific purpose, let us know during your initial enquiry so we can ensure the report format meets those requirements.
